I had the pleasure of watching STAY ALIVE this morning. It’s a 2006 Horror Film about a Video Game LOL but really, despite the “not so nice” reviews about this film –I liked it. How you die in the game is how you die in real life !What rouse my curiosity was that it is based on a real person, ELIZABETH BATHORY, The Blood Countess !
I didn’t know this at first but the memoirs incorporated in the movie caught my attention. After the film, I went straight to investigate, Lo and Behold ! She’s Real ! Born August 7, 1560 - died August 21,1614 . She is labeled the most prolific female serial killer in history. Elizabeth Bathory was never tried nor convicted for the 650 murder of young women. It is said that the Countess bathe in the blood of virgins in order to retain her youth. She keeps a list of all the women she tortured and killed in her diary. I never knew that there was any Woman serial Killer … until now.
